Reading Specialist

Chelsea School is seeking an enthusiastic and creative educator to plan and implement small group and 1:1 reading instruction for school age children with language-based learning disabilities. Ideal Candidates will meet the following criteria:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent post-baccalaureate graduate credit in reading, education, special education, or related field
  • Valid Maryland state reading specialist or reading teacher licensure (or equivalent out-of-state licensure)
  • Familiarity with a variety of multi-sensory, systematic, structured instructional reading programs and practices
  • Experience assessing student progress toward achievement of benchmarks goals and objectives
  • Competence writing IEP goals and objectives in the areas of phonological awareness, decoding, encoding, fluency, and comprehension.
  • Excellent communication skills

Middle School Science and Math Teacher

Chelsea School is seeking an enthusiastic and creative educator for a math and science positions for school age children with language-based learning disabilities.   Ideal candidates will meet the following criteria.

  • Master’s degree in education, special education, or related field
